The congress is tentatively scheduled to be held at COEX in the new city area of Seoul, which is a perfect high-tech venue for international exhibitions, meetings, and cultural events in the 21st century. COEX's 198,000-square-meter trade show and convention facility is the nucleus of a 50-acre commercial and hotel complex. With four stories above ground and four basement levels, COEX offers the space, the services, and the communications facilities with advanced systems and equipment to accommodate everything from large-scale international conferences to the latest high-technology exhibitions. There are grand-size facilities for large-capacity conferences and exhibitions, more than 30 rooms for small/medium symposia, and a hall for high-level meetings. The followings describe briefly individual facilities and their functions.
